  • Introducing GOA's New Member Benefit... It is a pleasure to announce that the JRP Agency and Aflac is now a “Preferred Vendor” for GOA and their members.  We are proud to of this new partnership of Aflac products with GOA!  Aflac, through the JRP Agency, is offering a 9% discount, which amounts to one month’s free premium, for the popular “Accident Indemnity Advantage” insurance plan.  This is one of Aflac’s most popular products.  It provides a financial cushion should an accident occur.  It is 24 hour coverage – on or off – the job – and covers the entire family.  No deductibles – No copayments – No lifetime limits – No network restrictions – and NO coordination of benefits.  It is awesome coverage for GOA members, employees and families.  Learn more about Aflac products and the accident plan discount ONLY for GOA members by Clicking on Membership Menu - Member Benefits for contact information!
  •  Now Accepting Student Applications for the 2014 Allan V. Wexler Scholarship...Dr. Kathryn Falk, Chair of the Georgia Cares Committee overseeing the Georgia Optometric Foundation is now accepting applications for the 2014 Allan V. Wexler Scholarship. The Wexler Scholarship, first awarded in June 2007 has been an ongoing tribute to the late Dr. Allan Wexler, in honor of his lifetime of service to both the profession of Optometry and to the Georgia Optometric Association. We are very proud to continue his legacy by awarding this scholarship in his name to the very bright, up and coming future optometrists. It is also an honor that Mrs. Gail Wexler and the Wexler Family continue to take a part by reviewing all the applications and give their input on each of the candidates. This year’s recipient of the $1,500 scholarship will be announced at the 2014 GOA Fall Education Conference, October 17-19, 2014 in Athens, GA. If you know any student that would qualify for this scholarship, we ask that you  please share this information with them and encourage them to apply. The Scholarship Application return date is September 1, 2014. No Exceptions!
