2026 INJECTION CERTIFICATION

Hosted and administered by the Georgia Optometric Association, this 30-Hour Injections Certification has been developed by the Southern College of Optometry specifically to meet the Georgia State Board of Optometry requirements. The program’s education and training will be provided by the faculty of Southern College of Optometry. Registration is open to all Optometrists. No onsite registration is available, no exceptions! 

The certification will consist of 3 Parts:
I. Six-segment Lecture Series
II. Examination (90 item – multiple choice)
III. Hands-on Skill Lab (each participant will serve as doctor and patient)
         • Intralesional Periocular Injection/Subcutaneous/Chalazion
         • Subconjunctival Injection
         • Intramuscular Injection
         • Intravenous Injection

- All parts must be taken in-person and completion/passage of all parts is required for certification. No exceptions!
- 30 hours will count towards your re-licensure hours for the 2027 renewal period.  

REGISTRATION FEES:
Non Member Registration Fee $2,500.00
GOA and AOA Affiliate Member Registration Fee $2,000.00 (Membership must be in good standing and will be verified through GOA and AOA) 
GOA Young OD Member Registration Fee $1,250.00 (0-10 yrs) Calculated based upon graduation year)

- Registration Fees can be split into 2 payments, please contact Vanessa at the GOA Office. All registration fees must be paid in full by August 12th.

Cancellation Policy - There will be a $50.00 Administrative Fee for all cancelled registrations. We will issue refunds up until August 3, 2026. No refunds will be issued after August 3, 2026.
